About this video
Caring about someone and wondering whether the effort is mutual can exist at the same time. This Attachment Decoded video explores that tension. The questions below bring the focus back to what you observe and what you want to communicate.
Created by Attachment Decoded. The following viewing notes are a companion reflection exercise, not a transcript or a claim to know another person’s thoughts.
Questions to consider after watching
- What effort have you offered recently, and what effort have you observed in return?
- Which needs have you expressed clearly, and which have you hoped would be understood?
- What is one limit you can state without trying to control the other person’s response?
Try this on paper
Choose one specific interaction instead of judging the entire relationship at once. Write: “When this happened, I felt… I would like…” Keep your request concrete enough that both people can understand it.
